As we move forward into 2009, Shaw Street Productions is proud to be celebrating our 10th anniversary.

We know there is ever increasing pressure on all businesses to ensure that each dollar is spent wisely for maximum return on your marketing investment. To help you meet those objectives, we are committed to delivering the highest degree of service and value possible for each of our clients.

Even in challenging economic times, this promises to be a year of opportunity. Organizations are looking to streamline their operations and go-to-market programs, yet many recognize that now is the time to strategically invest in growth and prepare for economic recovery. Whether you want to communicate change to employees, develop new markets, reduce the cost and complexity of training, or market your products and services using more innovative “new media” channels, we can help. As a boutique style agency focused on delivering customized solutions, we can play a key role in shaping your marketing strategy and carefully guiding the production and implementation of your most important projects.

Over the past decade we have worked with many great clients and organizations. Below are a few of the projects we delivered in the past year. From video production to web gaming to compelling design, servicing client needs is always our top priority.

Video: 25-Year Retrospective & PSA

Client: Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business

CCAB engaged us to create this 25th Anniversary Retrospective video to be presented at their annual Gala dinners held in various cities across Canada. It will also be included in their media kits targeted at fostering corporate partnerships and programs to support the development of aboriginal business opportunities.

During the course of producing this video we were able to expand the project to include the production of a 30 second Public Service Announcement (PSA) video. This PSA has the potential for broadcast across the country, giving this long-standing organization increased exposure for their significant role in bringing Canadian aboriginal communities and business owners together with the corporate sector to develop mutually beneficial business relationships.

CD/Web: Spring '09 Product Catalogue

Client: Canadian Standards Association (CSA)

The Canadian Standards Association approached us late last year to help with the production of a direct mail product catalogue on CD. The challenge was to integrate a variety of web properties under their umbrella into one concise index of web links organized by sector and product group. In short, this CD fast tracks searching the vast array of services and programs available through CSA. Working in tandem with their designers, we programmed this robust Flash interface using XML technology for ease of updates and revisions. Over 100,000 CDs were distributed to specific niche-market businesses directly and through insertion in industry trade publications.

Video: Galaxy of Stars

Client: Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation

The CBCF engaged us to produce a video presentation for their "Galaxy of Stars" Gala event celebrating CBCF-Ontario Regions having reached the milestone of funding $50 million of key research since the year 2000. The story of how this funding has directly impacted both researchers and patient outcomes is told directly through first-person interviews we conducted across the region.

Video/DVD: Presentations

Clients: TD Commercial Banking

TD Commercial Banking held a breakfast seminar where attendees were gathered to hear speakers talk about Electronic Funds Transfer. We supplied a videographer to film the speakers at the podium and edited their speeches together with PowerPoint slides. The various speaker video clips were assembled onto one DVD and accessible individually or as an entire clip for distribution post-event on DVD.

DVD: Summer Memories 2008

Clients: Glen Bernard Camp

This annual DVD encompasses three slideshows created throughout the summer months for each camp session. Each camper is sent a DVD serving as both a great keepsake of their camp experience and a dynamic direct mail marketing tool for the camp itself.

Gaming: X & O – Driving Distractions

Client: The Gabor Group / IBC

Over the past few years we have developed several custom web games on behalf of The Gabor Group and their client IBC. These web-based Flash games have been created with several goals in mind. Customer engagement, retention and education were key, along with keeping visitors on the site longer while delivering educational materials.

The X & O game, part of a major media campaign, was geared to increasing client knowledge of insurance products while separating fact from fiction. The driving distractions game played a part in the recent IBC campaign to educate the public on the risks of cell usage while driving, and lobby the government to pass legislation against cell phone usage in cars.

Web: laserdentistry.ca

Client: TASC Group Corporation

This website project designed for The TASC group, challenged us to implement an open source content management system (CMS), where the client can update seminar schedules and offerings through access to a secure user portal. We implemented their new branding into every aspect of the design, giving the site a clean, easy-to-navigate appearance. Segregating the product streams TASC services was instrumental in ensuring users find the information they seek with the fewest clicks possible.
